This a very good game has multiplayer,adventure and it is the 2nd 3d graphic fps metroid game. Overall this game is great the one thing that really bothered me is in most games you use one joy stick to move and the other to change the camera in this game it's one joy stick to do both and it really get's annoying. you may think hey it's magic well magic to be annoying. So if your on something trying to change the camera trying to jump on the higher one even though you probobly do not need to do that in the game it's still annoying.

Graphics are good and controls are tight. Story is interesting and it takes more than shooting to work your way through this game. I really enjoyed figuring out how to achieve the objectives. Honestly, it's a superb game for Gamecube. I know most people are way beyond Gamecube these days but there are still some good games out there and you can play them on Wii. The Amazon price is a bit high because this is an old game that is no longer produced. I would check out used games or possibly a swap store or website.

I first got this game used at Gamestop for $20.00. I got home, put it in my Gamecube, and started playing. The first thing I noticed: graphics. The graphics are very good. Then I got to the first boss, and I couldn't beat it. That's what really bothers me about this game: difficulty. If you can get to the final boss (really an accomplishment) you should get a medal. After I beat the game, I started a file on hard mode, and got killed within seconds of the first boss fight. Get MP2 if you have a Gamecube and can take a challenge. Definitely not recommended for beginning gamers.

it's an old game.. if you havn't played yet.. get it now, you must... this or the metroid trilogy on the wii...
all the new games on the newest consoles ain't got nothing on this one... it's timeless

Played it as part of trilogy on wii.
PROS.
-COOLER THAN THE 1st GAME: The environment, the sceneries, the characters and theme are darker than the first game (and by that I don't mean they are black in color, they are more shady, the tone is a bit more serious).
-Gadgets: Cooler beams, awesome visors (actually useful in this one), missles, powerbombs, grapplebeam, PLUS MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU HAVE SCREW ATTACK. JUST LOVE IT.
-Bosses: While final fight was not as great as 1st (Still pretty good), the rest of the bosses are THE BEST IN THE TRILOGY. I mean the first time you encounter dark Samus is just EPIC. And other bosses especially in the dark world are very fun.
-Length: Greater thanks to dark world
-Bonuses: same is first
CONS.
-Same as first, LOTS OF BACKTRACKING, ANNOYING DOUBLE JUMPS, OTHER DIFFICULT MANEUVERS and TOO MANY WORDS
-Dark world is a wonderful creation, but as you lose health while playing in it causes constant stress in your mind and can make the experience torturous in the beginning. Don't worry, towards the end you get upgrades to counter it.
