1 out of 5 stars Do not buy this product   August 27, 2010

If you intend to purchace this product to transfer data between one Xbox 360 Hard Drive to another then do not buy this product. Spend the extra few dollars and buy the actual Microsoft Transfer kit. This is a third party piece of equipment that ships to you with only the transfer cable and nothing else. After sending an email to the company inquiring as to where the software disk that is supposed to be included with this "kit" was, they sent a reply email with a link to a downloadable executable file that installs on a PC. From there it is only a matter of "dragging and dropping" the information from one hard drive to another. Not quite, it's actually a terrible difficult and convoluted process that you have to go through that requires you to transfer the data from your original Xbox 360 hard drive to your primary drive on your PC (usually the C drive), and then transfer from there to the new hard drive. Also, be sure to have enough room on your PC's primary drive for the entire size of the Xbox 360 hard drive, becuase if you don't the transfer will fail. And, if you can make it through all that, then when you finally get the information onto the new drive it is not recognized and will not work. Do not waste your money, get the official Microsoft Transfer Kit.

1 out of 5 stars T_T misleading kit that claims to trasfer data from a 360.   August 26, 2010

it pains me to say that saddly this doesn't do what the seller/listing said it would. but i'm not really blaming them i'm blaming ms mostly for the last update. what the seller failed to do is send the DVD that comes with these kits now adays, to ensure that everything transfer's over. it's getting a bad review because it didn't say it did or didn't have it before i brought it, but because it was recomended. :/

2 out of 5 stars Only Buy this if you wanna Mod your Hard drive!   August 11, 2010

I bought a new 360 Slim and I wanted to transfer data from my elite over. Wish I read the reviews before buying! It only works if you transfer data to your computer 1st...and even then its super complicated to get it to your new Slim. The only good side about having this cable is that it allows me to Mod my hard drive with computer files. BUYER BEWARE!

1 out of 5 stars Transfer Kit   August 1, 2010

I will make this short and say the transfer kit fried the hard drive on 2 consoles and cost me another $250 for another new console. I wish I had known that a USB Flash Drive would have done the job without the hassle that the transfer kit caused. So whoever sent me this, thanks for the hunk o' junk.

1 out of 5 stars Complete Garbage   July 20, 2010

DO NOT BUY THIS! This WILL NOT work like the Microsoft Hard Drive Transfer Kit. I wish I would've taken the time to read the other reviews before I bought this piece of crap. My advise: spend the few extra bucks and get Microsoft cable.
